We will be having a big update on Saturday, May 30 at 10am MST. We would normally be greeting you at the Edmonton Fibre Frolic on Saturday, our booth filled with bright and cheerful yarn. Fiber Shows are one of my favourite things, having a chance to chat with all our yarn friends about projects, colours and new patterns.
However, this EFF has been cancelled and STFA will, instead, be having our show virtually and online. We will have lots of self striping yarn, Evil Twins, sock yarn and sweater yarn as well as spinning fiber and gradient sets.
Hello my lovelies. I hope you are well, safe and having a chance to enjoy some beautiful fiber crafts. Being able to knit and spin have been sanity savers for me, as everything else seems to have gone a little wonky.
We have some changes here at STFA I wanted to share with you.
Our website has been revamped, to a newer, simpler and hopefully more user friendly style. If you ever have issues with the site, please let me know. It is still a work in progress so bear with us as we tweak and polish.

Happy New Year! Isn't it so exciting, knowing we have a brand new year for all sorts of exciting adventures?
We are going to kick off this awesome new year with a KAL. One of my favourite things to knit are shawls. They are the perfect medium for playing with colour, textures, shapes... You decide. So much fun to play with.
Starting today, January 3 and ending on February 28, we will be knitting shawls. They can be new to the needles or a WIP. They can be knitted, crocheted or woven. The only rule? Use our Sea Turtle Fiber...
Happy 2018 everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful holiday season filled with whatever makes your heart sing. We had a lovely time with lots of family, knitting and relaxing with the boys. It was the calm before the storm here as the boys are all getting ready for high school exams this month. We also now have three teenage boys driving so that will be interesting.
Sea Turtle Fiber Arts is going to have a blast in 2018. We have already signed up for several fiber shows which are posted on our "Sea Turtle in the Wild" page.
Happy Sunday everyone! It is cold and blustery here in Western Canada and the perfect time to add more socks to our collections.
Socks make great gifts, only use one skein (unless you are making knee highs or have a giant foot recipient) and are just plain fun.
So...today is the day. Cast on your favourite socks, with your awesome Sea Turtle yarn, and let's get knitting. If you want to crochet your socks, also awesome.
Have you picked out one of our signature STFA patterns? Our Cool Name Socks or our Sea Turtle Socks are a blast to knit....
