This is my favourite time of year.  School starts up again, hockey season is here and knitting just makes sense.  I knit all year round but when it is 30 degrees and sticky, it seems like the wrong kind of activity.  But fall, crisp air and the gorgeous leaves...well it makes me want to cast on all things, all of them, right now! Summer has arrived in Calgary and it is beautiful!!  We have had a wonderful and amazing spring visiting our yarnies at fibre shows and hanging out at the baseball diamonds. And now we need an epic summer KAL!!  Starting right now and ending on August 31...cast on your STFA yarns and knit like mad. What should you knit?  Anything...sweaters, cowls, shawls, mittens, socks...you name it.  Maybe an afghan! We will have a draw on July 1 for all our cast on items.  You need at least a few rows more than some stitches on a needle, but I'm flexible. August...

I love seeing STFA yarn in the wild.  It is thrilling to see a picture or a post, our yarn out there with you, having fun. At a fibre show, the excitement is even greater when I can see the project and the knitter in person!  It is my favourite thing at a show.  I could hug all you knitters who pull a sock or a sweater out of a bag, sometimes still on the needles, to show me.  It makes me so happy.  Thank you. The Fibre Shindig was on Saturday and, as always, was a ton of fun.  I just love seeing friends and making new ones while surrounded by all that is fibery and fabulous! I also got a chance to see some STFA yarn in the wild...take a look at these two projects...aren't they gorgeous?
